In 1995, we reached a remarkable milestone in the life of a family business: my children, the fourth generation of Benjamin's, started to join the company. They share my commitment to serving Toronto's diverse Jewish community, like their forefathers before them.

At the same time, they bring something new, which their great-grandfather Henry Benjamin wouldn't understand. They possess the distinctive worldview of their generation - a familiarity with other cultures, both within and beyond the Jewish community; a facility with electronic communication; a curiosity to try out new business ideas.

It is likely in the years ahead that the Benjamin family will explore new business opportunities. To help us do so, while safeguarding our tradition, we have developed this new multiple website structure. We hope to have made it easier to find the sort of information you are looking for. Meet the
Benjamin family

In the early 1900's, Henry Benjamin volunteered to join Toronto's first Chevra Kadisha. This was the starting point of the Benjamin family tradition of service to the community through its grief. This tradition now spans four generations, and has become a significant part of our family history.
